Crew was respectful, asked before moving my trash cans, and one of the young guys even helped me carry a box in from my car while they were waiting on the roller. Little things matter. Asphalt looks perfect too.

My father in law recommended them and I'm glad I listened. Fresh asphalt, done in one afternoon, guys were polite and kept the noise down since my baby was napping.

Super helpful from the first phone call. The guy explained the difference between just sealing it and repaving it and also have reasonable prices

These guys resurfaced our church parking lot and did the striping too. Lines are crisp, no puddles after the last big rain. Very happy

I don't usually leave reviews but the crew from Victory Paving NC Gaffney earned it. They showed up at 7am sharp, worked through the heat, and cleaned up so well you couldn't tell where the old gravel used to be.

Victory Paving branded dump truck at an industrial job site

Concrete Built for Truck Weight, Not Car Weight

A loaded trailer backs onto the same slab a hundred times a week. If that pad was poured for passenger traffic, the joints start cracking by year two and the corners break off by year three.

Spalled dock aprons and sinking approach slabs do more than look bad. They close a receiving door, and the downtime costs a facility more than the pour ever did.

Our industrial concrete services cover thickened slabs, curb and gutter, dock aprons, and pads designed around the actual load rolling over them. The crew carries more than 100 years of combined experience, led by a production manager with 30 years in asphalt and concrete, and we work across industrial parks and freight corridors throughout the region. Call us for a free industrial concrete estimate before that joint spreads any further.

Why Clay Subgrade Decides Whether Industrial Concrete Lasts

The slab is only as good as what sits under it. Clay soils make subgrade conditions a major factor in how industrial concrete performs over time.

  • Clay holds water, loses bearing capacity under load, then shrinks and pulls away as it dries
  • Freeze-thaw cycling through winter opens hairline joints that spall under wheel loads by spring
  • Flat graded pads trap standing water after summer storms, softening the base at the slab edge

Older parcels sometimes sit on uncontrolled fill from previous grading work. We core and evaluate before committing to a pour depth, because guessing on base thickness is how a two year slab happens.

Repair the Panels or Replace the Slab?

Facilities managers ask us this constantly, usually with a budget number already in mind. The answer depends on how much of the slab is moving.

ConditionRecommended Approach
Isolated cracked panels, stable basePanel replacement or partial depth repair
Surface spalling, sound structure belowConcrete resurfacing
Rocking panels, pumping water at jointsBase repair with full panel replacement
Widespread settlement across the padFull depth reconstruction with new subgrade

We will tell you when patching buys you five more years and when it just wastes money. That honesty is why property managers keep calling back.

How We Keep Your Facility Running During the Pour

Nobody can shut down a distribution building for a week. Phasing is where most of the planning happens.

  1. Step 1

Site walk to map traffic patterns, door usage, and truck turning paths

  2. Step 2

Phasing plan that keeps at least one receiving door live at all times

  3. Step 3

Demolition and subgrade work on the first section, usually overnight or on weekends

  4. Step 4

Pour, finish, and cure while traffic routes through the open section

  5. Step 5

Repeat on remaining sections, then reopen the full pad

Cure time matters more than most people expect. Heavy truck traffic on green concrete undoes a good pour, so we set realistic return to service dates and hold to them.

Common Questions About Industrial Concrete

  • How thick should an industrial concrete pad be?

It depends on the load and the subgrade. Truck aprons and dock areas typically need thicker slabs with reinforcement, and we set the depth after evaluating the base.

  • How long before trucks can drive on new concrete?

Most heavy duty pads need adequate cure time before full truck loading. We give you a firm return to service date during planning so scheduling works around it.

  • Do you handle concrete and asphalt on the same project?

Yes. Asphalt and concrete run on one contract, so curb, gutter, pads, and lot paving all come from one contractor with one point of accountability.

  • When is the best time to schedule industrial concrete work?

Paving season runs March through November here. Budgets get set in Q4 and Q1, so booking early secures a summer window before the calendar fills.
